Since it was a holiday, I decided to do something special. Here's a series called, "Don' wanna nap!!"
*Briar screaming*
*I open the door*
*screaming suddenly stops*
Oh hi!! It's mama! Good, cause I don't happen to need a nap today.
Look how chewy my crib is, mama.
I'll give it a good gnaw then you get me out okay?(Ember thought this was a good chewing spot too. Notice the teeth marks)
Where are you going? Come back here.(And these these teeth marks are from both of them. Now that Briar has two teeth she's adding to them.)
I decided I don't really need a nap today so get me out now 'kay?
Why aren't you getting me out?
Really a nap is unnecessary!!
My happiness just doesn't matter to you!
I can't believe you are doing this to me. How can you possibly think napping is a good idea!!!

She was then out in less than 5 minutes. :)

day 246
Ember reading/singing. Just the end of a book, didn't want to bore anyone with the whole book. I borrowed it from my classroom and it's DRA level 12 (if anyone knows what that means, lol). She reads level 12 easily but doesn't have the attention span for anything much higher. Too many words, she says. It's times like that I remember she's 3! Though she did read me an entire Kevin Henkes book the other night because she was willing to do anything-ANYTHING to stay up late.
And actually, her age is wrong int he video. She's not 3 years 4 months for 5 days. I was close though.

Made baby food today. Carrots, sweet potatoes, asparagus, apples and green beans. I attempted artichoke too, but they didn't turn out right.
And here's a pic of what is left over from last time. She GREATLY prefers homemade baby food to store bought. Store bought food is only for when we are eating out and she can't have anything off our plates, or for grandma's convenience when she watches Briar.
