You'd think since teaching reading is a huge part of what I do at work, this wouldn't be so fascinating to me. Maybe because she's my daughter, maybe because she's half the age I'm used to teaching, maybe it's because I am learning things about how children learn to read that can not be learned without working 1:1 (at least I don't think so...). Who knows, but here's Ember's reading progress in a month and a half. I think I'm going to try to get a monthly video. She's growing just as fast in math. She's starting to add numbers up to five without counting. Kind of neat to see this progression too.
